Replacing Starter

How difficult is changing out the starter on a '90 p/u 4x4 with the V6. I took a quick look today but I can't see any bolts to take it off. My Haynes maual is crap. Thanks for the help.
 
Usually it's just the starter contacts and these are easily replaced. Ray is correct; don't replace it with a non-Toyota starter. You can probably find the contact part numbers by searching here or go to Roger Brown's website, 4Crawler.com. He sells the contacts.
 
If you don't feel competent doing the contacts yourself there usually are places that will do the work. Most places operate on a fixed fee or parts plus bench fee. Look for starter alternator rebuild places. You could also ask a local truck repair place where they send them. Truck alternators and starters make car ones look cheap so they are often rebuilt.
