LTS motors apparently broke one of the locking lugs on my LX today, and said I need to replace the whole set. Do I really need to buy all 20 new lug nuts when just one broke? I would think I could just replace the broken one with a non-locking lug

I just replaced my locking ones with non-locking ones. I have access to good used ones, so I didn't buy new ones.

Do yourself a favor and get rid of that locking lug nut, and get a regular one. That thing is a hassle esp if you have a flat tire and need to change it out and cannot find the key, or that thing is on too tight or something. Unless you've got some blinging wheels, nobody is gonna steal it, even if they do, they'd need to get a jack high enough to lift our cruisers in the first place. Lol i don't see it happening

Replacing all the locking lug nuts with non-locking lug nuts is a good idea. I should do the same.

Do you have to order these from the dealer or any lug nut will work?

There's a few good threads on lug nuts. The dealer is about $10 each, Costco about $3 each, and several other sources in between.

I have come across some here and there and keep a bag in my garage.

One of the first things I did to my cruiser was replace the locking lugs with regular. Had a bad experience with a person who damaged my wheel doing a state inspection trying to remove the lock. From the dealer, the regular lugs cost me $25 apiece. Ouch.

Should be 90942-01103 for all years. List is $14 something, McGeorge is $9.89.

Btw, Costco is #218716, $2.86 each a few months ago. My Costco Tire stocked them but I'm sure any Costco could order them.

As of today Douglas County Costco has 207 in stock and charges $2.86 a piece

Thank you all, I figured I just needed to replace the broken one and that they meant a "set" of non-locking, but I wanted to make sure I didn't break something :)
