Replacing fiberglass firewall with original firewall

I tried adding photos, but it wasn't working, but I have a mallote body tub, I know they're not the best out of the body tubs out there. But I have one, and I want to try and save myself a lot of fabricating, so I saved my original firewall, and want to put it on, but I'm not sure how to go about it. My first question would be, will it work? And can it work without causing any major issues? Any advice would be great.

if you cut out the glass firewall , keep about 1 1/2 inch of it all around , so you can glue and riveted the metal one on that edge

I'm planning on cutting it off about 1 1/2 inch above the points where you bolt on the fenders, so that I can keep my kick vents, but have the floor fiberglass
