What is the Part Number for this larger O-ring at the bottom of the By-pass tube in this Pic? Its not in the Toyota Part Diagram, only the 3 o-rings (90301-29006) are. Im confused... Beno?

This is what is in 04112-66036 (Valve Grind kit, 1FZ-FE: AKA: Head Gasket kit)

1. Head Gasket
2. Injector orings and grommets
3. Fuel line gaskets
4. Throttle body gasket
5. Exhaust Manifold gaskets
6. Intake manifold to head gasket
7. Upper and lower intake gaskets
8. EGR valve to intake manifold gasket
9. EGR pipe to head gasket
10. Fuel filter banjo bolt gaskets
11. Valve cover gasket
12. Spark plug tube seals
13. Valve stem seals (both intake and exhaust valves--24 total since it is a 24 valve engine)
14. Water outlet gasket
15. Thermostat gasket
16. Timing Chain tensioner gasket
17. Water bypass outlet orings (3)
18. Exhaust manifold down pipe donut gaskets
19. Air injection tube gaskets (for 1993-1994 trucks)
20. Gaskets for the cylinder head screw plugs
21. Dizzy oring

You need to add: water bypass tube gasket, oil cooler gaskets x2, oil cooler cover gasket, gaskets for the oil cooler plug and relief valve, FIPG for the half moons. Everything else that you add depends on the scope of the work you are doing and the scope of the plan.

I am trying to coordinate a head gasket job remotely. The shop has told me that I need an "upper grind kit" and quoted a price of $519.65 for that kit.

From their description and price, it sounds like they are referring to the "Valve Grind Gasket Kit" (Toyota 04111-66036). However, from my reading on this thread and others, the consensus seems to be that I need a Toyota 04112-66036 described online as "Gasket Kit Engine V".

Can anyone advise as to why the 04111-66036 would be preferred over the 04112-66036?

What is included in the 04111-66036 that is not included with the 04112-66036?

Does the the 04111-66036 include all essential parts for the head gasket job, or would other parts like those @beno has mentioned in this discussion still be required?
 
I bought the head gasket kit from @beno and a bunch of other stuff that I was doing, "while I was in there". I think the extra stuff that he recommended on top of the valve grind kit was the oil cooler relief gaskets, FIPG, oil pump gasket, the head bolts, exhaust manifold studs, and y-pipe studs(I didn't use all of these or the exhaust manifold studs, but I was glad I had them).

I had a bunch of other stuff that I did, including a new throttle cable, timing chain tensioner, new radiator hoses, oil pressure sensor, thermostat, new water pump, new alternator, PCV and grommet along with a new hose, etc.

Are you still a source for the parts you recommended in this thread? I have a 1993 FJZ80. Head is off and looking gather parts for reassembly. Along with the head gasket kit also looking for intake and exhaust stud kit, and heater hose kit and any other parts you may recommend. Thanks.

I have a -66035 Toyota set at home. any difference on last digit. ordered about 6-7 years ago for a '97. Any idea the difference?
