Hey, a car seat box beats a stork delivery in this late stage of our games. Haha.

That's full blown kid car seat and unpacked the seat (5 point harness seat is slated for full time duty in the LX. Wonder why?) immediately packing the console.

Can you see if the directions are in the box? Has friggin' lights that I can't figure out how to put the batteries in, are completely unnecessary, but now that the boy knows, he wants them on. (Sounds like my former light fetish on the FJC)

Bahahaha.

The batteries go in the center back of the headrest area!

 ok.

Maybe I need the FSM for the car seat. Bahahaha

Take note of the massive amount of space in the center console that the sub and CD changer consume.

Andy's idea of swapping to the LC console is a good one, if abandoning the sub and stereo.

Pulled the Lexus up in an oil change bay to look it over and noticed that there is only like an inch of clearance between the bump stop and the pad. New springs and shocks may be in order.

Toyota calls those front bumpers "cone springs" and they're supposed to be an active part of the suspension system.

There's an actual spec for ride height that is measured there.

HTH

Found it:

Follow spring clearance (Front)
36 mm (1.42 in.)

Bumper stopper clearance (Rear)
104 mm (4.09 in.)

You can get spring spacers from mr gasket for $25 that will give you one inch of extra height on the nose.

I did that when I put a winch into my front bumper. Ran it that way for years before lifting the truck.

Of course the proper thing to do is buy springs and shox.

Note to self: High pressure hose on the power steering is a biotch to get off! Other than that and having to take the headlights loose to get the radiator out, all is going well.

You, sir, owe me a cup of coffee, an iPhone, and pain and suffering for the third degree burns to the nasal cavity.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Maybe I should try that. It might clear this pollen out!!

Started around 11 this am and had it pulled by 6:30. I so need a shop and a lift. Rolling around under that low rider chasing the transmission part of the engine harness and getting the last 3 bellhousing bolts SUCKED. But now its out and my daughter and I will go fetch another one Friday!
