So I'm testing out some door plugs - you know those hard to find grey plugs that have either been destroyed or we're never there in the first place. Mine were in bad shape. Plus I'd rather not pay $50 for a pair of used ones.

Obviously not the stock look for the purists but I really like how this dresses up a rather plain part. The one in the photo below is a prototype but should give you an idea of what they look like.

What do you guys think?

Looks great, Mike!

Do you have matching 'miniatures' for the two screw holes below and to the left? :hmm:

Yes those lovely holes from the cup holders the PO had on the door sigh...

that is slick - i like em. making them with a 3d printer? i'd be in for a set

Yes, 3D printer. Once the design is all up to par more detailed photos to follow. Want to make sure they fit perfectly.

Once you have it perfect ... It's not to hard to then manipulate the size ... You can do custom sizes to correct PO's happy time with the hole saw

All you would need is the inside diameter of the hole as long as its a round hole... Some PO's use those oblong hole saws :)

I never noticed this on my truck - were those unique to the pre-75 vent windows?

Floor plugs , dash , anywhere there was an oem plug that is commonly missing/rotted/ect ...
Sarge
Assuming those are rubber. These are 3D printed ABS plastic. Seems like those might be better suited in rubber. Challenge is getting samples to make copies from. I had just enough of the two of mine to actually get a sample made up.

I'm not sure if that option is available but probably could do it - just increase size by percentage, say from 100% to 110% for those oval hole saws lol.

If it were me ... I would make about a dozen and put them up on ebay $25... When they all sell make more... Job lot production... Small batches ... Keep them up on mud for discount $20 :)

I have mine intact... And a spare :) so I don't need any ... Yet :)

You could also post up on ebay that you could do special order sizes at $35 a pair

Just thinking out loud
