I bought new window runs from Akella about a month ago and finally got around to installing them today. I've always had a lot of wind noise while driving, along with slow/weak window movement. I got the new runs in and its so much quieter on the road and the windows move freely up and down. I can tell that my motor is getting a little worn as its not super fast, but it is just fine by me.

Anyway, if you have a lot of wind/road noise coming from the windows, this is a easy way to quiet the cabin and have better functioning windows too!

Did you order from Beno or Dan? Details on the runs? Congratulations

thanks NLXTACY. did not know if that was a 'Mud user, vendor, or brand of runs. will check it out, my windows are s-l-o-w

Yeah, look in the Vendor section or just search for Akella. Nice guy and I believe he was little less expensive than Beno or Dan on these particular pieces. He had them to me within a week and it took me about 30 total to install them (had to take one door panel off).

I will add that if you have the door panel off and your windows are slow, you might as well take the regulator out and clean/lube it. After 20+ years of getting dirty and wet, it could use some love. It'll help the speed of your windows as well.

Come up to East Texas and help me do my 92. :grinpimp:

I have purchased several items from @Akella before but I purchased mine from @ranma21. He is in Houston so I figured it was closer for shipping. I have had them about two months. I attempted the drivers window without pulling the door panel but it was a no-go.

I did the same a few months ago. My windows run sooooo much better now. Before, they would sometimes not even budge if it was cold out.
It was real easy to do as well.

How did you get the old ones out & the new ones in w/out removing the door panel???
