Replace or Refurbish Door/Window Trim? (1 Viewer)

These are peeling, feels like a plastic or stiff rubber with chrome underneath. They look as if it may be same material as the vertical lip that seals the glass. I may try running a razor along top seam then peel off leaving window seal lip and see what happens.

Checking in on the condition of the doors / wind noise or any water issues you might have experienced by peeling away dried out trim and leaving the chrome. This would be approximately the 6 year check in...lol
 
I just replaced all my trim this weekend. Super easy project, all four new trim pieces cost me $220 shipped. I saw some cheaper sets on ebay and amazon from China, but was worried about fitment, so went OEM from a local Toyota dealer. As far as the process goes, I followed this video and it took less than 45 minutes to change all 4:

I never did peel away, nor do I have that 100 series. The moldings rubber seal/wiper. Helps keep wind clean, more importantly keeps dust and water out of door cavity. To be a source of window noise, they'd have to be very bad.
