What is so rediculous about a 93 Montero. It is 20years newer, can fit a family comfortably in AC, drive across the country at 75-80mph comfortably, can wheel pretty good trails with a rear ARB, I am sure it rides a lot better, etc... Like I said, it was a long shot, but you never know. I know a few people who have sold their buggy or no top jeep or beat to hell no door no top runner because they had a kid or to get something for a more family friendly off road experience.

Yes, I know your 40 can drive across the country too, hell Forest Gump ran across 3 times, those was his magic shoes.

I was not asking for a complete restoration 45 or a LX470 or a 40 with a supercharged 350 with a 203-205 double case, L460E, chromo Longs, ac, bezel with Landcruiser in raised letters, TR beadlocks with 38in TSL SXs, warn 8274, 3 tops one JDM imported one, with blah blah blah.

Nothing. Don't take offense. If anything, this may just be the wrong audience to sell to or trade with. That's 99% of the battle with a modified rig as I'm sure you know.

Sounds like a great ride that is very unique / capable.

Good luck with the sale and glad to have you as a new member in the club!

x3 :)

It's all in good fun man. I'm sure the montero is a great ride. It's just that I know how fanatic we are about our cruisers. The rediculous was more directed at the heep. who trys to sell a heep on a toyota site? Anyways, welcome to the club. always glad to have another cruiser head around.

I was not mad about it, but did not think it was stupid. And this would be the right forum for a cruiser in upstate SC. I really did not think it would happen, you never know. I really have to get my craptacular fj40 to SC, needs a lot of work to be decent. It should run with very little work.

Where is your cruiser? what year is it? I have lots of experience with going from craptacular to trail worthy... check out the ROTW link in my signature... I started with a ol' 40 that had more problems with it than you can shake a stick at... a little time, perseverence, and lots of willingness to learn is all it takes... well, a lot of money never hurts anything either. But you have come to the right place for all of the above. except the money. unless you can sell the montero on here, then you've got that covered to. Glad you're part of the club. Hope my sarcasm hasn't caused any ill-feelings.

Like I said, I was not mad, just defending my stance. Cruiser is about 5 miles from downtown New Orleans. Did not get flooded, other side of the river. I did see a few flooded curisers though.
