Has anyone ever purchased and or received a inclometer faceplate from Adrian @ Restorunner? Apparently this guy has already sent a batch in the previous year. I pre ordered one in March and am trying to be patient but after a certain point I’m starting to get nervous about the whole thing…. He has sent a few updates and they are rather unprofessional and mostly him just making excuses and saying how the community should be thankful. I guess a few people have requested refunds ( don’t blame them ) and he is claiming he’s completely broke and can’t refund people? @$120 a pop it could potentially be a decent scam if he doesn’t produce…. Thoughts??

If he has sent some out it isn't likely a scam but it may mean you should expect a lot of lead time to forever. That does seem to be an issue with working with individuals. You shouldn't have to expect you customers to thank you for offering a service you do badly or pick and choose to complete.

Can you post a picture of what you want?

I'll guess that whoever is printing them for him has a minimum order number and he is waiting until he has the minimum order amount and not buying them outright and sitting on inventory. I can understand the issues from both sides.

The product is the inclometer faceplate. These seam to be in crazy high demand so I don’t understand the issue. Gotta spend money to make money. I was just curious if anyone has received one from him in the past. Appreciate the feedback though

His communication is horrible. I messaged him and I think it took just over a year to get a response. I was planning to buy one when I finally got a response but got uninterested with the lack of communication over that timeframe and being $120 for a faceplate I didn't necessarily need. Guess I made the right call to not be dealing with waiting 3+ months after ordering.

Can you not request a refund via PayPal?

Yea, that’s definitely the vibe I get when I read his posts about other customers. I can request a refund up until September. I’m just trying to poke around and see if I can find others who have done business with him before. His facebook page shows a batch or two of past faceplates so I didn’t even hesitate to preorder one. Figured he had the whole process figured out but I’m starting to think that’s not the case… $120 is a decent chunk of change but if I lost it I wouldn’t loose sleep. I’m an extremely patient person just don’t feel like getting shafted by people who will take advantage of that. I might give it another month and then file for a refund. If anyone has the time, look up resto runner on FB and read some posts and updates. Curious if anyone else gets a weird vibe from the guy.
