Hi DAn,

They are the standard rubber pieces that every forty has, they are original, or I think they are original as I have never ever looked to buy them. I know all the other bits & pieces of the bonnet mouldings are on eBay but I have never actually seen these for sale.

These mouldings cover the join of the guard to the tub so no rubbing occurs to the bonnet.

Just ordered a rear awning for my 40.

Here is one on the back of a 70 series, the one I ordered is 1.6m wide & 2.5m long.

Going to mount it here, just need to make some brackets.

Btw awning would work a treat on the beach.

Up date on my bonnet rubbers.
So far no luck .
This one even has Nat stumped.
Next move is to take a sample to to Scott s in Melbourne.
Any ideas Watrob most great full.

A photo is worth a thousand words.
Plastic clips hold this seal to the ? Don't know what to call that part of the 40 ?
I think the purpose of the seal is to help the hot air from the under the hood escape through the bonnet vents.
I could be wrong though.

yep that's them, I have not looked at mine for awhile but though the clips were brass that pushed into the holes. As my 40 is fibreglass I glued mine down and did not use the clips

I have never seen these on eBay for sale either, but someone must sell them?

Finally, just caught up! Agree with chappo though must have video of that sweet engine... about to post one of mine...(about means in a week or so, after all we are not all as fast as you!)

on my cruiser i use press on 60 series door seals... at least i think they were 60 series
