@bhk - I can't quite identify the location of your avatar photo. It's hard to tell because so many of the volcanic features here in New Mexico are similar in appearance.
That's one area I was thinking of. BTW, that section of road will be part of my upcoming leg of the FJ40 Cross Country Expedition. Interesting history about that route, even much earlier. It was part of El Camino Real History & Culture - El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro National Historic Trail (U.S. National Park Service), from Mexico City to Ohkay Owingeh (San Juan Pueblo), at the confluence of the Rio Chama and Rio Grande, north of present day Espanola. The route of El Camino Real was essentially defined in 1598. In researching old La Bajada Hill I learned something new about a northern New Mexico place name that I've wondered almost for a long time, Rio Arriba County. La Bajada, which defines the lower end of White Rock Canyon on the Rio Grande, was the geographic feature that separated the Rio Abajo (the "Lower River") section of New Mexico from Rio Arriba (the "Upper River") section.@4Cruisers - It's old La Bajada Hill, SW of Santa Fe. This section was the 1926-1932 alignment of RT66.

Hey Everybody,
I installed some universal seatbelts from seatbeltsplus.com in the rear of my '89 FJ62, but they don't retract all the way because the recoil assembly is higher up in the rear. Any ideas on how to get them to retract all they way?
Thanks!
Photos?
Sorry, forgot about this post. Here is a photo of where the seatbelt stops....it doesn't retract any further. Any ideas on how to get it to retract all the way?
