Mine has been caved in and popped back out about a half dozen times. I think the best solution is plate with a towel rack. I'll try to find a photo.
Its not so much the dents in sheet metal but the cost of tail light replacement....

Hey gang, I'd like input and potential vendors for some rear quarter panel armor. I have managed to drag my 80's a$$ on the Golden Crack in Moab (right side) and the Holy Cross gatekeeper (left side), and nearly took out my taillight on the left side. Photos of my current damage: I'm...

Better to distribute the load over the body rather than try to mount to the frame IMO.
I forgot about that thread. Joses's armor is a much nicer looking version of the old "Action Jackson" 1/4 panels. I think I still stand buy the best solution, especially since it is the easiest and cheapest.
