Rear Fold and Tumble split seat

Those front seats are worth every penny, after spending a whole day on some Moab trails or the Hammers you dont notice any sore or numb spots, one of the best purchases I have made on the 40, and I have made some big ones. I highly recomend them, I ordered them 2" wider for my size, makes a difference.

I wanted them 2" narrower and they wouldn't sell them to me (after initially telling me it could be done )

thanks for the reply on the seats! i have been looking at master craft and corbeau and a few others and really like the suspension seats and defiantly need the wider ones for my fat a$$

One thing about the seats, do research on how they mount, there are flat tabs and vertical tabs and both come into play when you have to mount them and have roll bar height issues.

BTDT - they sent me a seat with all crooked seams (I swear, not a single straight seam on the whole seat ) and the crank handle for the back sticking out by 4 useless inches past the edge of the seat (I wanted the seat narrower for a reason, namely that there isn't any extra space ) - and they raised a big stink when I wanted to send it back as defective and not according to specs and charged me a damn restocking fee (had they built it as they promised in writing, they wouldn't have ad to take it back ) - thanks, but no thanks

granted, I think this was several years ago before the company ownership changed hands again

I ended up getting two Japanese suspension racing seats for $150 off eBay - the first one is starting to wear out as the driver's seat after 5 years now, I'll swap the other one in soon (10 years of excellent seating for $15/year )

OK, thanks for the info, my current seats are on a home built frame set up but i would like to go to a craddle set up with the cage.

this is a very cool setup, hopefully i'll be able to afford it this summer.

But i'm worried about clearance with my full cage. How high do the seats sit above the floor? You said that adults can fit in the seats, but how tall are these adults and what height from the bed are their heads?

Bout 8 inches above the floor, the upper/back floor section.

Have about 11 inches behind the seat at the floor, less as it tapers up, Id take pics right now but there is a monsoon going on out side.:whoops:

are the seats bolted in pretty far forward or did you allow more than enough leg room? I'm thinkin about cramming my passengers in the back just so i can have space behind the seat...

I bolted them so the back of the seat cleared the hard top handle and the front mounts are through a body rib below the floor panel. I can fit a green Trail Teams tool bag behind the seat.

Thanks for all the pics. Free shipping huh? Hard to say no to that. Really looks practical.

I have a 1" piece of rubber cut to fit the back of my FJ. I think I might be able to do a little cut and paste and have perhaps a thinner bed mat and have 2 or perhaps 3 pieces of the 1" rubber under the mounts. Give me a few more inches in front.
I am also cosidering having 1/2 fold and tumble seat and keeping one of the jump seats (best of both worlds. I also have a large dog, and she is usually my only passenger. That would leave me plenty of storage room for coolers and crabpots.
FYI: I am very happy with my speaker boxes velcroed to the top of my wheel wells.

So I took the 40 out for the first time in a while, had some steering and Birf issues to clear up......
Put the car seat to good use and held the kid just fine for a little trip to Oak Glen.

Now that you've had these seats in for over a year, any regrets? Pluses and minuses? I'm condsidering the same seats. Any thoughts on shoulder harness?

Not a bad thing to say, if you are wheeling where you need shoulder harness support then you might need a seat with a taller back.
