Are you able to have the wheel mount in place or does it cause a clearance issue? Nice set up BTW I have the same color. I'm kicking around the idea of color matching the bumpers to the molding. Have you seen that done?

Dobinson - I have had one for about 5 years now and the main reason for purchasing was of course the price (at the time of purchase i believe it was about 1500.00 shipped to my door) . I've put this thing through hell and it has taken the abuse and keeps coming back for more. I've dragged it over rocks, come down off ledges right on to it, backed it into a tree lol. Its a very stout bumper for the price and comes powder coated with the swing outs and all the lights.

Is it bulky? - Yes
Is it strong - Yes
Does it have the best departure angle? - No
Is it by far the best bang for your buck? - Absolutely!

PROS :
cheap
durable (for what it is) are there stronger ones? - of course but no where near this price point
build quality - I've found for the price the built quality is very good
comes powder coated - and the quality of the powder is good as well
comes with both swingouts and all the lights
No cut design, direct bolt on

CONS :
bulky
poor departure angle
no integrated tow hitch ( @Hoserock designed to be used with an OEM hitch) i don't tow anything so this wasn't a problem for me

If you want protection, tire carrier and to add some accessories, this will fit the bill perfectly, If I was wheeling the Rubicon every weekend I probably would have gotten something with more clearance. We run some pretty difficult trails here and its been great. Also some might not agree with me but I particularly don't think its the worst looking bumper out there and overall it fits the big wagon well. With all that said I would buy another one for the price, you cant beat it

Thank you!

I’m thinking about getting a rear bumper and with the inflation and shipping cost, rear bumper with a carrier is costing almost $4,000 - a touch pill to take seeing used LC 100s are being sold for $7-8k. Any update on rear bumpers?

A base ARB is 2,300 you can look into having it delivered to an authorized retailor near you. Swing arms will run and extra 900.

I hadn't seen the 4x4 Labs stuff before today, but I went Coastal specifically because I wanted to DIY. I am really happy with how the bumpers came out, but while the documentation was "adequate" if you know exactly what you're doing, it isn't great if this is your first *fabrication* project. That said, I also found that I needed to do a bit of extra fabrication/design to make it exactly how I wanted. No big deal for a DIY kit if you know what you're doing, but I'd be a bit annoyed if I felt like I needed to cut and modify an off-the-shelf bumper to tweek it to my taste.
