I took the trek up to see Christian and drop off the seals. Got to meet him for the first time and see his progress. The pig looks great and is so close. Nice dude and he took me out for a burrito:). About 5.5 hours round trip in the pig. Would have been a boring trip in a regular car.

Haha
When you play on the snow for great enjoyment all winter weather is good! Even if it is in California!

Greatest of sadness. Filled the system with coolant in the foolish expectation of starting it and next morning all sort of leaks showed up!!!! :(

One of which was the rear heater. Immediately took it to get pressure tested. Good test just didn’t tighten the worm clamps enough. Sweet

Reinstalled and re checked the tightness of my friendly worm clamps. Might have had a few beers or it may have maybe been martinis. (Gin right now, blue chz olives, of coarse). Blue cheese get you…

Shzzzz
I guess too tight?
Thought I was ahead and just realize I am still on the short bus!!!!

I am hopeful this can be fixed! :(:::::::::

I want to thank you for your kind offer. Was really nice!
I was able to get it fixed. Yeaaaa

I wanted to also say that if you ever decide to clean out some things in your garage for that needed extra space and you want to get rid of that rear heater I would love to buy it from you! I can't stop droooooooollllliiinnnng when I look at that thing! I would put the one that I just fixed on the shelf as the spare and rock that diamond that you have.

Either way I am truly blessed to have found a group with such generosity! I love having great examples to follow and emulate!

Good news and bad news. Good news is the motor is running great. The bad news is, do you remember when we went swimming in the mud hole? Well the heater got some muddy water in it, no damage, just looks rough. I took it all apart and checked the motor which is fine, cleaned up the housing, but it needs some touching up. I'll get it in top shape and send it out there, just give me a few days. I forgot the heater was still in there at that time. 🤷‍♂️

Turns out my electric guy worked all today for free. Both he and myself were sad about it.

He mistook the rear window power requirements and had to rewire. :(

Was wondering if anyone knew if this thing was a breaker. Anyway, he is thinking it is and now it has become part of the program again.

Hope he’s got it!

Pretty sure that just pushed another day! Away from finish!

Patience! :/

Sooooo
After 3 days of lost time and frustration this program got thrown out.

Turns out those multiple times that I said “oh, the original system was done with three wires and pretty simple.” Turns out that those relays were smashing the current to the motor. Making it run super slowly and tripping the breaker. So now we are back to the original way. At least we are back to moving forward. Glass half full anyone?

Years and years ago I bought this rubber and now am going to use it! Yeah!

I seem to remember two metal strips that ran on the inside along this channel

. I don’t have those do y’all think that some washers will suffice or should I go and find some metal to make the strips?
