My girfriends 2000 HiLux Arctic truck.:grinpimp:
Artic truck can be bought as a option pacage at the local Toyota dealer in Norway.
It is built by Arctic Truk in Drammen, Norway, and that is a shop owned by some guys from Island that lives in Norway now.
In Norway it's hard to get plates on a truck that's not orginal, but the guys at Artic Truck can do it, and Toyota gives full warranty on the job!!!:D
It rolls on '35 B/F and have a 2.4 turbo diesel.

clampy.

paid 250 (270 if you include the 20 i gave the po to tow it to my house and push up the driveway), since then, upgraded to a junkyard w56 (unfortunately, it had a top shift tcase, so the floorboards required a little bit of modification, and my short legs can't reach the clutch as well now, so i have to float the gears.

many already know of my idaho alternator incident, so it's got a new alternator. ignitor and timing chain went in the middle of a monsoon, and i did have to change the oil three times in the first few months to try to make it look clean (still is the nastiest blackest oil i've ever seen, so i just don't change it anymore :D ...believe the last oil change was march 2006). gave a buddy 40 and paid for a rebuild kit, so he'd clean the spider's nests out of the carb (well, all of them except the ones that got sucked into the motor during the three weeks i was beating the piss out of it, hoping that whatever was making it run like crap would get sucked out.

changed all the other fluids, greased it last year, put a stereo in it, replaced one tire that shattered into a million pieces a while back, threw a cheap a..topper on it, tune up, replaced some missing parts....think i'm up to about $1400 total. put almost 20,000 miles on it so far.

everything's pretty much stock down to the flat bench seat.

Not a newbie but new to this site.

I bought this rig two years ago it was almost completely built. I have made several major improvements like, Hydro assisted steering, Warn 8274 front winch exo cage and I figured out the electrical gremlins. Here is a list of things that had been done before I bought it, dual cases, square drive lines, 5.29's, spool rear, lock-right front, 32 bolt bead-locks, 37 mtr's, Chevy rear springs, solid axle conversion, header, k&n filter, grab bar for passenger, Celia seats, in cab roll cage. Over this winter I repainted it with Rustoleum Safety yellow and placed a tribute to the brave firemen that lost their lives on 9-11.
