Just finished reading Neil Armstrong: A Life of Flight.
A national hero and because of that a very private man.

It was a good book that refreshes your memory of the man before and after he took his small step & giant leap.

Some things that I took away. It it would get off the ground is was not afraid of it.
Crazy smart, crazy disciplined.
When Nixon had a State dinner for the Apollo 11 astronauts Neil was most excited to meet Jimmy Doolittle
He and is 1st wife divorced after 40 years
From reading the book, he was very sad, angry, dismayed how we wouldn't go back to space.

Glad I read it.

I'm not sure if y'all have ever read Carl Hiassan books but they are so damn funny.

They made a bad movie (albeit with great tits) from an earlier book of his called Striptease

Anyway, the newest one Bad Monkey is a riot. I can't put it down. It's in paperback.

I've got this one on my list for the library too... still working my way through Harry Potter. I've got about a year and a half left at Hogwarts before I graduate wizard school.

The Good Shepherd. CS Forester.

Excellent beach read, even better with the WWII encyclopedia sitting next to me (Dad)
