Hey all!

Just did the timing belt, water pump and serp belt on my 2000 LC.

Vehicle sat outside for a Canada winter before doing the repairs.

Everything was all good after doing the work above until a month or so now noticed a squeak/rattle noise coming from underneath (catalytic converter fail?). Could also be a pulley (installed an offbrand alternator) .

Any thoughts on what this sound is?

Seems like it could be one of your exhaust shields loose. Probably the one over you catalitic converter or y pipe. You could also have an exhaust leak. I would also check your sepentine belt idler pulley and tensioner pulley. It might be more than one issue.

To clarify there is really no y pipe on the LX470. What I was referring to is the shielding on the part of the exhaust that goes over the drive shaft. That could also be causing the rattle.

Gotcha - I’ll take a look at some point today. It does seem to go away after about a minute though, hear it time to time at slow idle/acceleration

Turns out it was one of the heat shields on the drivers side cat! Threw a hose clamp around it for now as the bolts are super rusted .
