I thought my 10/73 '74 model was the rarest in the world....it's been in storage for the last 20 years because the owners recognized its value. It has been uncut until last week, and it came with the optional 3 speed, Armstrong power steering system, and power rear window. With options like that how could A/C come close to a distant second in desirability?

What would make it the rarest Pig is the lack of port installed rust option, which appears to have not been added, but I've learned pics and seller's descriptions can be deceiving.

Thinking that's a dealer add...

The port installed rust is definitely there, its just been sprayed over. Which means, its just starting, which is the good thing, the bad, you dont know how bad it really is lol.

This guy is either uninformed, or taking some liberties. My Jan '74 has that same dealer installed AC w/ that switch. That one may still work, which would be more useful than mine which currently does not.
That is certainly not the only one in existence.

Yup ... that York compressor certainly was installed at the factory  Why would you spend all that money on body work and paint then leave a rusty bent-up exhaust on there? Sound system installed w/o cutting any part of the truck? What those holes in the non-stock door panels will buff right out? Time capsule ... I didn't see much stock in the interior. Guess you can pick anything apart ...

Looks like a pretty nice truck. I'm not in the market at $15K+ but somebody might be.

My 73 has a york on it too, except mine has a serp belt drive.

I also have a full oiling system motor. In a 73 that's super rare.

All factory installed.

Agree this is more of a $15k pig - only problem is his BuyItNow price was $42k. I actually like the steelies and street tires look on it for some reason. The lurking rust is the problem.

I think that orange peel was the texture only offered on the rarest of the 73-74 models. I didn't even mention that mine has the superglo latex paint upgrade also. Now that I think about, this guy may be right. It could possibly be the rarest pig....one that hasn't been disassembled and put back together out of necessity to stop the body cancer. Instead, this one is being treated topically with chemotherapy.
