My 83 had missing radio and wasn't able to find a plate as hole is different from earlier years.
Found a guy on ETSY, Paulo from Portugal, who took my dimensions and fabricated one. Very reasonable price fits well, although I did need double face tape to secure properly.

you must have been well into this process , about 3 weeks ago now ,

here are 2 OEM NOS period correct solutions as well ,

your kustom retro plate looks very very A+ sharp too ......
- i have a 1/83 FJ43L-KC and i test-fitted the trap-door sandwich box , FULL SIZE Single DIN. concept and it worked like a charm , simple and plug play etc ..
- i knew if a CB-40F can mount inside a 83-84 STAR WARS Switch Panel , the FULL Size DIN Lead Pencil Dispenser refills box would same in kind too

the luck of the key punch draw , i hit on the DELETE Plates full size single DIN also , only got a nice hand full , and that was the last of the last , i WILL Reproduce this one in the future for sure like i have the FJ40 Early and FJ60 using same exact TOYOTA time tested process of injection molding , NO 3-D print monkey business here on those 3 reproductions below , no way JOSE ..

- note : the 2nd full size single DIN delete plate with the returns on each end , WROD TOYOTA on RH side is a injection milded reproduction of mine as well , ONLY top flat one is NOS .... fyi
