I had a bad ignition coil and disconnected the negative battery terminal before working on it. Replaced the coil, reconnected the battery, and now my aftermarket stereo is dead. Checked the fusebox and the radio fuse looks okay. Help!:)

Did the aftermarket unit have an anti-theft code that has to be entered after power is restored?

The other thing to check is the fuse on the radio itself. Most aftermarkets have their own fuse on the back of the head unit.

As previously mentioned, check to see if there is an anti-theft feature.

Also, I don't think it is necessary to disconnect the battery when replacing a coil pack.

Hope you find the problem.

Thanks everyone! I disconnected the radio, pulled the fuse (in the radio), and now it works again:)
