RAD RUBBER Engine Splash Guards

About 100' long and up to 1' deep. There is a part of one street that does not drain properly. Speeds range up to 40mph. Once I get around 25-30 and up, I will get engine miss.

I see no reason why one inch of water, at any speed, should cause your engine to start missing. I'd be checking my cap and wires.

I've hosed down the engine compartment many times with no special care.
Starts and runs without any problem.

Sorry cruiserman. IF my cruiser died in 1" of water, I would be very concerned. I think my issue is speed and water splashing.
Anyways, got the package from Rad Rubber along with a beer can cozie and a rubber ball with Rad Rubber design on them.

It was sent via 2 day shipping so got there in lots of time.
Unboxing the package, you see this...

Instructions are very straight forward and almost fool proof.

If you can line two holes up and push the clip in, you can do this. I would rate this as 1/4 , maybe even just the peel.
Took me about 1 minute to do the driver's side. The rear driver's side looks like this...

and the front like this...

Repeat on the passenger side.
The panels are thick and while flexible, they stay in position. Now to wait for rainy season and more nice puddles!:steer:

1  would be cutting the vinyl to fit, then pushing in the plugs.

Well, they are still offering the splash guards and I have ordered a set. My main reason for getting them is when driving through puddles, water gets on the distributor and I experience engine miss until the distributor dries off. This is not a splash from the fan and I have done quite a bit of testing with driving through puddles at various angles and my conclusion is it comes through the fender. My truck did not have the guards when I bought it
Will report back on how it works.
I will say that if it was useless, Toyota would not have included it on the truck.
Put a camera in there.

He said one FOOT of water not one inch. '=foot "=inch

Just installed these. Most of mine were missing when I bought the truck. I no middle cover on the driver's side and no middle and rear on the passenger. For $70 with the parts these were great. My goal is too keep as much salt water out of the engine by as possible. I try not to drive it around snow storms but it's tough. Super easy install. It was very quick shipping but I know there is a warning on the website. Seems like a 1 man show so be patient. I would recommend. I was going to buy OEM but it would have been almost twice the cost especially with shipping.

I went through 2 sets of rad rubber…didn’t last but a couple of years…they tore at the plug holes, even lost one of them….went to oem…much happier

Just a suggestion, but if you don't like using those factory plastic clips you can change over to rivet nuts, I installed these on my truck in the factory holes used by those plastic clips in the inner fender wells, Now my splash guards are held on with screws and are very easy to remove and install when i need to do maintenance,

Same thing here for anyone looking into these.

I've had my Rad Rubber installed for about 6 months and they are already ripping at several of the holes. I would not recommend. I'm going back to OEM or DIY.

EDIT: Not sure how I ended up in the 80 section, but I guess I'll leave these comment as the material appears the same for 80 and 100 versions of the Rad Rubber.

I had a Rad Rubber guard decide to relocate itself to somewhere besides attached to my truck. I hit up Eddie at Rad Rubber to get just the one guard, and he said he would send me a PayPal invoice. After 5 weeks of asking once a week when I might see that invoice and being told that he was busy and would get it sent out that week, I decided that I would move forward with getting the ARK guards and try my luck there. I guess if someone needs an almost complete set of Rad Rubber guards I will have some for sale soon.
