I searched, but didn't find much of anything. Is there any way at all possible for a bad knock sensor to cause a P0401 code without throwing a P0325 or 330 code?
Back story: completely took off intake manifold to have hot tanked, broke connectors on TVV and rear knock sensor when unplugging wiring harness, need to replace obviously, found previous owner had used some eBay knock sensors, not OEM Denso. Asking about relation to P0401 code because I've been battling that one code off and on for as long as I've owned my 80.
While we're at it, any opinions on eBay Chinese knock sensors vs OEM? Yes, I'm a bit poor at the moment. Still leaning toward biting the bullet and spending the money. But if I've been running the crap ones for the last 100+k mi, and there's never been a knock sensor code, should I just buy those again?
