That’s correct, you’ll need 3.4-spec bellhousing, clutch fork, slave cylinder and throw out bearing.
 
3.0 bell and input would shave almost 2 inches from the length, might be handy in some shorter wheel base rigs.

I think the 3.4 input is still available from yota, the 3.0 is unfortunately obsolete and aftermarket is all you can get. Or good one out of an increasingly small amount of used transmissions left out there in the wild.
 
Aren't the 3.4 clutch slaves on the driver side VS the 3.0 being on the passenger side? Not sure if this matters to the OP.
