I recently bled the brakes in my 1988 FJ62 (first time), and one of the rear brake bleeding nipples - the driver side rear) was different from the other 3! It’s shiny, and new, and not covered in grease and dirt like the other 3. It takes a 10mm wrench like the other three, and it is functional, but the ‘nipple’ portion was slightly smaller than the others, and the tubing I was using to bleed was not snug over this one new nipple.

I would like to replace this one ‘rouge’ nipple with an OEM part or at least the same nipple size, so the bleeding tube fits tightly over it.

My question is: are the brake bleed nipples the same part on the front (disc) and rear (drum) of a FJ62? I see parts available online, but they indicate ‘Front’ …never rear. It has me confused.

Can anyone point me to a part recommendation for the rear drum brake bleeder nipple for a FJ62?

Awesome - thank you!!
