our 03 has a setting for 85F on the rear a/c control panel. I suppose it could mean cooling when it's 130 outside, but I doubt it. Panel suggests that heat is coming from down below, cooling from up top.

is the bolt on the top of the inner edge of the light housing, just near the black bulb access cover.

i dont know if it is something wrong with me or what.... but to me the 100series feels a bit weak.... having had a beautiful HDJ81 VX with a no nonsense non EGR 1HD-T and having had to drive my uncles HDJ101 with a 1HD-FTE..... to me though the 100series was faster but it lacked the feel of the 80series.... now that throws out the option of getting a 100series and back to the classifieds looking for a good 80series (in Fiji this is like finding a needle in a haystack)............

100 = Weak, lacks the feel, hmmm?

My two 80's are tin cans compared to my 100. The 80's creak, roofs rattle, you feel them flex when tweaked off-road...none of this happens in the 100. The 100 "feels" like a armored tank next to the 80's.

As far as weak...the 80 is a total dog with a roaring engine. The 100 seems like it's of a different breed...which it is.

I think he just likes the "un-refinement" of his 80 series. Maybe that's what he's looking for. Every once in a while I wish I had my 80 back for that reason. But then as soon as I'm in my 100 for a longer trip, that desire seems to somehow fade away.:D

I became tired of the 80/100 question and just bought one of each:hillbilly:

I'd like to add that I have owned two more 100's since I posted in this thread, a 98' and a 99'. The 98' did NOT have rear A/C. the 99' does. The 99' does NOT have rear heat, only the middle row, unlike my 00' Lexus LX470 which did in fact have rear heat.

Almost 260K on the 99' now and still running strong. Been a great workhorse an we have it full with 6 children and heavy rear racks.
