So, more things to ponder now.

The nice officer that pulled me over as I was dragging the 4runner down the interstate gave me some information.
If flat towing in Indiana, the towed vehicle has to be registered, plated & insured.
That being the case I may as well make it street legal & drive it to Flat Nasty.
It would certainly make for an adventure driving it all the way there with no doors or roof & beat all to hell.

looking into it. we'll see.

Sounds like fun!

Yes it does. I have been thinking about it & think it would be pretty awesome.
Gotta get the shake/wobble out of it tho.
That's what got the attention of the officer, he said it was shaking to beat all hell as I was towing it. I did forget to inflate the tires so that may make a difference.
I'll get it registered & drive it to work a few times, see how that goes.

So now it looks like I may be able to borrow the trailer off Mr. Ballard & tow my rig on this journey. My Insurance Co. won't insure the 4runner for street use due to it's condition (beat all to hell) & no horn, no turn signals, etc....
You should have seen the look on my insurance agents face when she saw it & I asked her about insuring it for street use. It was very funny. The officer that came to do the out of state title check said if I did make it meet the requirements for street legal use & plate it, I should be prepared to be pulled over & scrutinized.

Vicky got me all fired up now so I ordered a Möbius camera for video.
http://mobius-actioncam.com/

One of my brothers is into rc planes and had a 720p camera that was small enough to mount to his plane. This one is also very small and boasts 1080p at 30 GPS.

There is a comparison video on YouTube that shows it against a gopro silver. For the money I'm going to give it a shot, quite a bit cheeper than gopro.

All fired up.......ordered a video camera............sounds like some wild times at the X factors.

I'm pondering a coupla things here as I prepare for PYS.
Thing 1, can we shoot guns there at Flat Nasty? has anyone been doing that? I wanna know how much ammo to bring.
Also I'll be on a pretty tight budget so I wanna know how much is the raft/canoe/water craft rental?

I typically bring a gun or two. 9mm semi, and a .357 mag.

Ron had encouraged us to bring lots of guns, hahaha. A couple years ago he was asking us to bring shot guns for trap, and high powered rifles for a 500yd+ range he would set up.... I never wanted to bring long guns cause I would have to choose between wheeling with them or putting them in my tent.... But now I have a tow rig.... If anyone is interested I can also bring shot guns, high powers, ar, m1, other fun things...

Not sure how much ammo you should bring Tony. I'll bring a lot of the cheap stuff, but the 45-70, and 7mm mag I'll only bring a box or two. I should grab my dad's .22's.... Good cheap plinking gun (though you can't find .22 last time I checked).

True here on the .22 stuff. I passed on a great deal on a .22 for that reason & if you do find it it's like $1.00 a shot.
I currently only own 1 gun. I shall bring many boxes of ammo.

Who is Hot Jen? I know there are some hot Jenns in our group, but I sense that is not to whom you are referring.

I wanna see the videos Bill, as I am neither an adult nor a children.

Hey, Gum, I PM'd LCnut about bringing me the trailer & haven't heard anything back from him. That is who you said might be able to help isn't it?

If I remember the river was about $20 each time, plus or minus a few dollars. For the big rafts they charged so much for the total number of people, and we just split it, the kayaks were a set price each.

When John is shooting, just act like a raccoon, you will be as safe as can be. I'm just say'n

FYI. Tony when towing with the Tundra, you get a lot better gas mileage with the cruise control shut off. On flat ground its not too much different, but in the hills it makes a huge difference.

Got the möbius today. The only way to play it back is through a PC right now. I will order the cord to plug direct into tv. TV will require RCA video/audio jacks.

Going to try it out this weekend. Just got to get my outdated PC to play the video without stuttering. Down loaded a new media player so...

must have an HDMI out, no?

This is what they sell for direct to tv video/audio output, RCA style
The camera is pretty fxxxin small, literally the size of my pinky and ring finger.

The other cable is a camera to USB port that looks to be about seven pin but it's hard to see to count because of the size.
