That was awesome, Rob, but why'd ya stop in the middle? Man my kidneys hurt just watching that.

Are the ruts in the dirt that bad when the race first starts, or do they build them in to make things more difficult?

Great job !!

We stopped to let the other racer around us. Then I realized how chewed up and soft it was. I was putting it in Low range to get the RPM's up so we didnt get stuck. No the ruts are that bad then add all the racers ahead of us digging them out. Getting to see the 45 working just makes me smile

Update : We didn't make it to Glen Helen for the MORE Race just too much going on. and racing in 100 plus degrees just didn't sound fun. I am pushing forward getting ready for a trip to @orangefj45 Valley Hybrids where Justin from Redline Land Cruiser will be visiting and what a great opportunity having Georg and Justin working together on the 45. Parts are showing up and this week I will be getting the 45 prepped for the Holley Sniper install. Lots of Great things coming together. New clutch fan from Redline and water pump from Georg. Thank you to our Sponsors for keeping the 45 and our race program moving forward

Getting ready for a trip to Valley Hybrids on the 1st. Working on getting as much prepped as possible. Moved the radiator mount forward 2 inches to clear the new water pump and clutch fan. Still gives me enough room to use the plastic honeycomb to protect the radiator fins from rocks. This weekend I hope to have all the parts to start on the new Sniper fuel lines. We will be running 2 Walbro 255 LPH fuel pumps ( 1 as a backup ) with all AN6 fittings and Racing braided fuel line. Justin from REDLINE Land Cruisers will be doing the Sniper install at Valley Hybrids so I been to get as much done as I can.

With the new clutch fan installed I have been working on the mounting and plumbing of the new fuel lines. I have mocked it up several times and found our best option is mounting the fuel pumps in the bed just below the fuel cell and running the lines through the bed into a 2 to 1 splitter into the Sniper head unit (I'll let REDLINE figure that part out LOL ) Its coming together

Made it to Valley Hybrids yesterday. Justin from REDLINE comes in tomorrow to help get the new Sniper EFI installed. I finished getting the fuel pump plate and mounting brackets finished. Plated and studded through the bed I wanted to make the assembly easy to remove in case we had to swap filters or any other issue.

Made it back home Saturday. Now that its looking like it might cool off a little. Justin sent me a new tune to install. I hope by the end of the week to leave crazy early and head to Johnson Valley for some early morning desert runs and testing. August 24th we have been invited to have the 45 on display at Toyota Fest Venture hosted by Venture Toyota. September 5th we leave for Cruiser Fest in Salt Lake city UT.
