Nevermind. Called the Toyota God. Got a name, got a number!

Jeff, one thing that will need to be done that will interfere with a full-on pit crew swap out is the pressure plate needing to be turned. (Like brake rotors)

May consider taking it all down on a Friday and lining up someone that will schedule you to turn it on a Saturday morning or friday pm.

It is a heavy bitch, I have always taken them to truck places to have it done versus a car place.

Thought about that. Anybody got any recomendations on where to have it resurfaced?

If you get a clutch kit won't you get a new pressure plate?

Don't know what a pressure plate looks like, but if the '78 parts truck has one, I'll trade it for yours so you can get it done beforehand. Send me a pic and I'll go find it.

It is the 5 million pound thing on the back of the 2F that looks like a huge brake rotor.

Is that the one with the teeth on the edge that the starter turns?

I think I have 2 of them...

Sweet. I'll take a look a it.

I put the flywheel back in with getting it resurfaced, and it works just fine. Of course, I didn't have any damage to it. I just made sure it was nice and clean.

...by gawd this is a funny thread!:hillbilly:

you guys are hillarius!

you guys need to work on you 'als truck more often!

The description of the flywheel is just funny!

I always said "I am no mechanic but I do know the parts and got an idea of what I want!"

I actually know the parts' name in English and Spanish, oh and this includes RR track repairs!

A few years back I would have never challenged myself like Nolen to take off/remove a transmission.

...but my bodies have always challenged me and have been very persuasive w/ me on learning how to fix my truck.

...By persuasive, I mean they use a lot of obscene language in order for me to learn and do it.

Keep in mind this guys are mechanics and help me for free, here I take the abuse any day! :grinpimp:

Good Job guys!

I'll follow up on this here thread!

Bodean git'er Done!

Thats funny right there. If Bodean didn't get his Orion after the round up I think we all would have resorted to this ;)

I doubt Bodean knows what is even under his truck.

All he has done with it is lift it and put two sets of tires since 1978.

So i don't mind him not knowing whats under the body.

Get yourself a real good clutch, take pictures of it, because you probably wont' see it for another 30 years ;)

When are ALL your parts coming in? we need to set up a wrenching session for it!

I know what's under there! Already pulled the tranny/t-fer one time. Don't be mad because I don't have to spend much money on it. The chickens are coming home to roost here in a few weeks in the form of a big $bill$. Hope it will be "right" so I don't have to touch it for another 10 years!

I could literally retire on the money I spent on this BS over the last 15 years.

Let's just quit!

Neva!

It's all about perception.

Mud is the reason I am going to end up a Walmart greeter.
