I've got a 40 series pto drive box for sale. Perfect working condition, fits 4-speed set up. Cable actuated. No shift lever, though it could easily be fitted. Will send pics to anyone interested. $350 plus the ride.

It came with the 47 in the container, but is from another truck and wasn't installed on mine. As far as I can tell, it bolts right up to the split transfer case on the back of my H41.

Be aware that the split case and the single piece case PTO cover bolt patterns ARE different. I have a single piece case in the '55 and '45 and a split case in the '60 and the PTO cases DO NOT interchange. A casual glance is not enough to know cause visually they are the same.

Yeah, that's true. I will need to check carefully to make sure it fits the bolt pattern on the side of my transfer to confirm that I'm not talking out of my ass.

Thanks for the interest Stumpalama- I've decided to keep the H41 after careful consideration. Someone else already had expressed interest besides....

The pto drive I have is NOt for split transfer case. The four bolt holes along the long sides of the case are slightly offset in relation to each other, and that doesn't fit the split case, where the blot holes are symmetrical.

Reduced price to $250.

Have you got an output gear? Most 4 speed cases, and my case don't have it. Does it come with the cable? Pics?

Hi there,

my transfer case does have an output gear, but I need that for the pto i am looking to install. The unit I have comes with a cable actuator instead of a lever, though it would be easy enough to fab up a lever or get one from SOR.

I have lost access to a digital camera for the moment, so I can't send a picture right away. The unit came with my truck from Australia and was not mounted, so I have no real knowledge of it, other than it doesn't fit on my split transfer case. It looks to be in good condition and the output shaft turns smoothly.

The output gear for a 4 speed single piece case and a four speed split transfer case are different. The single piece case has a 16 spline shaft and the split case has a 19 spline shaft.

You dont have or know where I can get a PTO drive shaft that fits a 4 speed? I have A pto And everything I need But the drive shaft is 3 speed and too short with the 4 speed.

Go to a driveline shop and have it extended. It'll be way cheaper than buying and shipping one.

It's a part you're talking about throwing away (selling I suppose) , right? I'd extend it without a 2nd thought.

I hear you. I have a '60 series PTO winch which is even rarer here in North America and I had to have some mods done to the drive shafts.

I guess the question is, do you want a museum piece or a useable truck? What do you use the truck for? Car shows or driving?
