Anyone know of a source for the film that's applied to headlights to protect them against rock strikes for the LX 450? I applied it to the headlights on the 80 I totaled last fall, which IIRC I obtained from IdahoDoug IIRC. I sent an DM to him with this inquiry and heard nothing so I assume that source won't work. Is there any cut your own material that will work?

It’s Xpel ppf

My 80 isn’t ppf’ed but my other car is entirely Xpeled. Great product.

Don’t forget about Clearplex on the windshield.

Thanks fellas, that's really helpful. Got a chip in the windshield that is high and out of the line of sight, so yeah, should consider that, too.

They have lexan covers for the toyota lamps you can buy.
Would these be the hard plastic ones? Superior protection perhaps but may not be cop-friendly in all states.

I was looking for hard plastic ones too however the lx and lc have different shaped lights where the meet the grill so I doubt they will work if the pictures of the plastic ones I am seeing are correct.

Yeah, of hard plastic, ones for the 80 would not work for the LX 450. Pre-cut film-type solutions for the 80 might be close enuf for the LX. - or not. That\s why I originally tried to inquire with IdahoDoug, as he would know if this could work.

If I get just generic film I might be able to make it work assuming I could cut a good pattern. I'm not sure I can for the windshield, but the headlights - maybe.
