Do NOT use the factory torque specs on the timing cover bolts. Do it by feel - when the gasket just starts to squish, stop! I think we discussed, but just a reminder on my lesson learned.
Thanks for the reminder. I remember the specs being really light but even that's enough to fusarium the gasket?
Did you use any sealant?




Absolutely awesome.
I was going to mention, but it looks like you're done, that instead of using high temp engine paint on exhaust manifolds, which is good to about 500 degrees, I use wood stove paint which is good to 2000.
Looking forward to seeing engine resting in the bay.
