I had the same problem with the last tbi I setup. I checked everything but it turned out I left some nachos in the #2 cylinder and 2 sausage kolaches from the Czech Stop in West in the #8 cylinder when I was rebuilding it. might want to check that out.

Thanks. I don't have my info in front of me but I am pretty sure I used these for my shocks:

I was really torn on which ones to go w/ but these give me about 5" of compression and about 7" of extension for both front and back. I ordered them from eshock after ordering from shockwarehouse and calling to find out where my shocks were. I was told that they were on backorder for about a month. I canceled my order and called eshock and Don shipped them out the same day. $300 to my door.
Since I flipped my rear springs I had to drill and install new bolts to in my xmember which wasnt a big deal.

Maybe thats my problem is I haven't been to West yet go get my kolache. Good thinking. I'll go by the drive-in and pickup some chili cheese nachos w/ jalapenos for the #2 cylinder. Should fix my problem. You still coming to Crested Butte?

How did you plumb in your tranny cooler lines? I am doing my reseach now. I haven't decided between all hose or fabbing up steel lines from the tranny to up near the radiator then add hose into and out of the cooler.
What did you do for the temp gauge? Did you plumb one?

Steve I ran rubber lines but I think steel lines wouldn't have been very hard. I ran the rubber lines inside the frame rail on the passenger side and it came out right by the radiator. I have my cooler in front of my radiator. I stubbed out of my tranny w/ steel lines and then hooked in my temp sensor then continued with rubber line from there. I'm have my tranny temp gauge hooked up but I am having problems w/ it actually registering anything. I don't know if it is my gauge, sender, or what. I thought about moving my sender to one of the positions on the tranny itself (like in the link you posted) and seeing if I get another reading. But at the same time I've only driven it around my house for a few minutes at a time, which may not give the tranny time to actually warm up. Don't know, but that is on my list of things to check.

I bought a bunch of hose and was looking for hose adapters for the tranny. Found some at Jeggs. Then I got to reading and wondered if I should just bend up my own hard lines. The lines would be easy, but installing a T for the sender would take some effort. Getting a bubble flare tool will take some research too.
So far I have not found a 5/16" inverted flare to 1/4 NPT "T". A 1/4" NPT T with hose nipples would be way easier. I am worried about hard lines from the tranny to the frame because of all the flex. I worry about fatigue cracking from the flexing. Maybe I am thinking too hard. As usual
My project. This morning I bolted in a new Torque Converter. The tranny is now permenant. I pick up my rear brake hoses today along with fittings to add hoses to the axle vents. I ordered front hoses this morning too, along with the radiator hoses from RockAuto.
I still need to plumb in the tranny hoses before the tub goes on. I have not bought a cooler yet, but I have one bookmarked at Summit.
My tub is painted. Doesn't look that great, but it would if I wet sanded. I rolled on Durabak smooth bed liner. Not thrilled with the color either. Oh well. I did find some rattle can dark forest green. Might use it later on.

What size were the threads on the sender you used? Are they 1/8" NPT? 1/4" NPT? The closest Tee's I can find are 5/16" inverted flare to 1/8" NPT.

Steve I think mine is a 1/4" but I am going to look at Jegs and Summit for something that would work better. I am not getting any readings from my sender at all. I'm going to try and move it directly to the tranny housing and then see what happens. If it starts giving me a reading, then i will redo my T and no that the problem lies in my T and not my sender.

I'm legal! I finished hooking up my parking brake, which is required to pass inspection here and drove it down to the closest inspection station and got my inspection. I then went to the DMV and paid for my registration and got it registered and got my plates! Very excited!

Nick, could you take a pic of the back of your power steering pump? I got the V8 version of the pressure hose, but I don't think I can make it work. The line fitting faces back towards the firewall, instead of forward. I can't see how I can bend it to fit. I suspect I should trade it for the 6 cyl version.

Tuesday I'm leaving for Colorado and will be gone 5 days or so (going 4wheeling and to pick up my new Redline Full Cage). If I can get a picture of it before I go I will, otherwise it will be at least another 7-10 days before I can get you a picture. Sorry about that.

No worries Nick. I set the steering gear in place yesterday and test fitted the hose again and it will work. I had it backwards
I will need to bend it a little for clearance up front, but it looks like it will fit OK. Thank you for thinking about me still
Do you know how large your trans temp sender is? I ran a T right off the tranny, but I'm not sure I'll have enough room under the tunnel cover. I guess I need to set it in place and measure... So much to do

I went to Colorado last week for a minivacation and on the way back I met Justin w/ Redline to buy a 40 Full Family cage from him. He was very helpful and really made sure I was taken care of after a few setbacks. Kudos to Redline.
It took me a couple of days to get it tacked into place (which is the way it is now) b/c it was just me holding and welding. I need to pull the entire thing off and finish weld it and paint it. I also recieved a bikini top in the mail from OCDbeetle for fathers day from my little girl. Very good quality I just need to have a few velcro strips installed to hold it down to my cage.
I also bought a chuck of 2x4 retangular tubing and starting making a front bumper. I used angle iron to attach it to the frame and bought some new tow hooks. I think it turned out pretty good. Need to get a winch and some weld on clevis mounts (probably from atoz fab) and I'll be good.
Still working on my rough idle though!

Thanks keith! It was a big obstacle and was glad to have it behind me. The fender flares are from Iron Pig Offroad. They are the same flares used on the FZJ40. Super beefy!
