Ironman lift is in along with TC UCA's. Just tricked the rear airbags for now, until I can find a good fabricator. Nitto Terra Grappler 285/70/17

Very nice! I assume you were able to figure out how to trick the rear easily enough based on what we had talked about?

Turns out I have damaged the right front sensor. Pic is of the codes their getting. Any ideas where to get this at a NON STEALERSHIP price?

I am sure there is a crossover part from FJ/Toyo that could be crossed to the Lexus part number.

LTD,

Looking forward to your progress...

If you are interested in seeing other GX builds, I have compiled a list of all the GX470 's that are being built (that I know of) on the very first post of my build thread...

Do you have build threads for your old FJ's and/or pictures of them after they were built.

I would be interested in what your FJ's looked like since you most likely will go in the same directions as them with your GX.

As usual Dan is correct. Went by the Yota ship and got part #'s and prices. Sensor part # 89542-04020 and Wire Skid - 89516-60070. Then called Lexus to crossreference.:p

I will get them to you. For some reason, my website doesn't show the photos. Have to look into. May take a few days, but will let ya know.

Parts came in today, just got back from Toyota of Deerfield Beach and the put the sensor and wire skid in quickly for me. In and out in under an hour and no more dash lights on.:grinpimp: Everything back to normal. Next up, taking the running boards off... Stay tuned....

Now I have to ask... Why did you sale all those AWESOME old rigs and start from scratch on a GX?

The 80 blew a head gasket, and thought about doing a deisel swap, but then decided against it and sold it. The 07' TRD FJ 6MT was awesome. Took it to Tellico for GSMTR and had good times. Decided to put it on Ebay for the hell of it and the bidding took off. Sold to a lady in TX. Then the TT Edition FJC came out and built it. A guy from Costa Rica bid it up pretty high and bought it. I drove it to Tampa and put in a container and now it lives there. Wanted something with an V8 and the GX seemed right. Toyota of DB had one @ the right price................................

All sounds perfectly logical to me :)

Took the running boards and rear flaps off today. Don't think the :princess: is gonna like... She's 4'11" and is gonna have to jump I think.:grinpimp:Was simple enough with a 12mm socket, and removing all the tabs with 2 small flat heads. Back mud flaps are a torque also. All is good, and ready to try and get some sliders built. Like to go something like yours Dan. Now that you've had them on awhile, is there anything you would change? Gonna reread your thread. Forgot if you welded them on, or bolted.

Thanks

Welded, and I wouldn't change a thing.

I can't give you the design as it belongs to ACC, but I believe Brian saved the measurements and could make them for you based on my truck then sell them to you.

I would be willing to take a ride to ACC to make sure the measurements are perfect if you like.

Sounds good. I will contact Brian on Monday. When I asked for the original quote for the lift, I asked about the sliders and he didnt seem much interested, but maybe I can change his mind:hhmm:.

I will be in Germany this week, but will check next weekend in case you need me to visit them.

To be honest I am surprised you were even able to fit 285's on there with your running boards on. I had to remove mine to even get my 285's on there without rubbing.

LOL... My little lady gripes every time she has to hop into that thing and yells at me when she has to drive through the carpool with it and my 8 and 7 year olds have to be lifted in by the attendant. :)

LTD - do you have your front coils cranked very much? For some reason yours doesn't look as lifted as much as some the other GX's. Could be an optical illusion with the blue paint. ???
