Replaced the tail lights with something closer to original and got the wiring figured out. Put in clear bib lights, replaced the speedo cable, replaced the tailgate cables for chains, and swapped in the correct headlight/throttle/choke cables.

Retrofitted the low toolbox seats from the 1960 into the 1959 so I could drive her...

The '59 smokes when I stop quickly. I'm thinking the valve seals are needing some attention and oil pooled on the head gets sucked in. No worries.
Here is what the fluids looked like... Pretty sure there was some water in the transmission. The engine oil was good and black and the diffs actually looked green still.

Decided to twenty-five the 25 a little....
Hopefully I haven't offended the Cruiser gods by taking the rear view mirror and seats out of other Cruisers.

Big thanks to kbahus for the bumperettes.
Decided FJ25 soft top is bend to the inside based on the factory literature. Most trucks with the step (hardtop) the bend is to the outside.
