I got my flaps installed this morning, and they seem great!

A couple little tips: For the little rear passenger side and driver's side brackets, don't tighten down the bolt that holds it to the body until you've got the bigger plate installed so it can align.

In the directions, for the 3/4" screw that goes into that bracket, it doesn't say to put on a spacer with that washer, but you do need to. Seems really obvious, but made me pause for a second since it's a shorter screw. But you do need one.

On the rear driver's side, I had to spin the extruded nuts at an angle to get the fender liner to fit over them.

Nothing huge and they went on super easily, but just a couple little quick tips of things that took me a second to figure out.

Awesome product and I'm very excited. Thanks @Ramathorn15 !

Ive got a quick question, anyone know the specs on the two bolts I was supposed to have retained in the rear? When I deleted the stock rear mudflaps a few years ago those babies went out with the bathwater. I've got some time to source them, I'm going to have some body work done and the ASAP flaps will go on afterward.

[in edit] I got off my ass and looked it up. The bolt is part number 90119-06779 if anyone finds themselves in the same position and is inclined toward oem. Also Ramathorn15 got back to me ASAP (insert groan here) that the bolt spec is M6x1.00 and that 12 mm is probably of sufficient length.

Cheers,
Chris

Edit: Nevermind! I should have finished my coffee before trying to use my brain noodle.

Guessing 120mm length vs 12mm 😃

You may be joking, but in case anyone else looks here for advice, they're definitely 12mm.

Love seeing the photos guys! Btw, the two orange stickers are intended for the rear flaps. You obviously can do as you wish with them, but it does help get the name out there!

Thanks again everyone. Gonna start strategizing another run!

I didn't have any rubbing alcohol handy to clean them for the stickers, and it didn't seem like they were going to stick with the mold release or whatever. I'll definitely get them stickered soon!

Yeah. I used to put them on, but with 30 that would be a huge effort to clean then stick. I should add the the directions for people to clean first. Hopefully people realize it like you did though.

I also need to decide if I want to go with the two red ones, or the sage green one along with the other sage one that you sent with my fire extinguisher mount. How do the red ones stand out against the black?

I assume you mean orange? :) they all will stand out well against the black. The orange are the new logo, which I personally like more. I may be bias though.

Hey everyone! You should have gotten an email from me, but just in case. We messed up and ordered 1/4 thick spacers instead of the 3/16 ones. You may notice the flaps fit particularly loose, which isn't the intent. I ordered the right spacers and will be sending them asap to everyone in the group buy. For now, the 1/4 will work fine, they just aren't up to our standards. Keep an eye out for a small package coming in the next few weeks!

Sorry everyone!

Got mine installed.

Always amazing to see how much junk comes out of the front fender/rocker area. I had OE LX mudflaps on the front, so I had already cleaned them out once before.

Looking at my pics, I realize I need to adjust that bumper/body gap

Love these!
Was sweating the front bracket install. I have oversized tires and didn’t think there was enough room for the flap. But no problemo. The flap fit fine.
Installed Sat morning. Went for a 100 mile drive about that afternoon. Snowed again Sunday. Looking forward to seeing how they hold up this winter.

I can't believe I didn't click this thread sooner...only because I didn't realize how easy they were to remove. I'm in for a set whenever you re-stock. Very clever design. šŸ‘

I installed mine last week. I’ll post photos tomorrow if I remember to take them. I used two longer bolts (1/4-20 x 1.25ā€ stainless pan heads) for the middle bolt in the back because I tried forever and couldn’t get the 1ā€ to engage. I did have some rust repaired there in past so that might have been why (thicker material to go through). Also, in the front (LX) I didn’t touch my sliders. I unclipped the fender liner and just pulled the cladding out enough to swap clips much easier imo. I had done this previously to hammer my snap weld and so knew it would work.

The flaps are great and I love them. So far no rubbing up front with my 285/75r17+35 STMaxx but I haven’t really flexed them much.
