You can send me one with the turbo adapter ;)

attempting to start it right now.. Fuel in the return line, sparks with a bit if fuel in the intake, sounds like it wants to start.. But no go..

I think the injectors might be bad..

HTF do you check injectors??

I dont know, i ran into a very similar issue swapping a motor into a mid 90s buick the other day. It would run on starting fluid, had spark, and sounded like it wanted to start but it just wouldnt go.

The way we confirmed injector problems was to pull the fuel rail and crank it and look for fuel spraying out. It was only firing on 2 cylinders, so we swapped the rail from the motor we pulled onto the donor and it fired right up. I would try that and see if thats the issue.

got it started... Barely.... You have to floor it to get it to start. Then it won't Idle at all.. But, the check engine light is off, so I guess that is something ;)

need to spend some more time looking for vac leak and get a fuel press gauge to verify proper PSI..

just keep it floored. proubly full of s*** in the tail pipes now been sitting for ever.....
friggen glittery bitch

s*** in the exhaust is one thing I do not have to worry about ;)

Since the engine is now running you can test if the injectors are firing by holding a mechanics stethoscope or a tin ear up to the injector. They should be making a rapid tick tick tick.

That won't tell you if the injectors are dripping or plugged such that they aren't spraying well (running lean) but it will at least tell you if any of them aren't firing at all.

If the injectors have been sitting out for awhile it's probably a good idea to have them rebuilt. RC Engineering is a good source (I sent mine there for a rebuild and balance) or you may have something local. Dr. Injector is a franchise I believe.

Found a 3/8" vac line on the underside of the intake manifold that was open
still gonna try rebuilding the injectors.. But I think I might know why it ran poorly ;)

anyplace local you can take it for a spin? (I don't recall if you have a trailer to haul it someplace remote and "burn the carbon out of her" :hillbilly:, and I'm assuming it's not tagged and insured yet) several times that I have gotten vehicles running after sitting for a year or two, what seemed to help the most is just getting it up to operating temp and running a half tank of fuel through it

Computer needs to learn the fuel mapping.. It sounds Good......
Still running in open loop mode and I flooded the crap out of it before it started.. But, it runs now :bounce:

The cam is big ;)

I did get a bit of a scare when I saw something blowing out of the exhaust pipe...

Thanks Chris :flipoff2:
