Nice, that cam is huge! Hope it likes slow crawlin. Really excited to see it running! Been awhile, as we all know, but that just gives you the chills :) :bounce: Congrats!!

auto and the doubler will make crawlin fun..

Dunes will be fun too :)

whats the wife think of her new daily driver?

:flipoff2:

She likes her Yukon ;)

You back?

How's your suntan?

yup, were back.. only spent about 2 hours in total on the beach, in jeans. Not much chance to get a tan in Guadalajara :D

Have you put Bob in gear yet to atleast see if you got the trans right? When is the first test drive?

Hopefully I'll have the stroker by next week. By May, we'll have to take the 60's out to the drag strip! :D

Geez a year ago I checked in on this build.

Glad to see you have made some progress in the last year.:bang:

You coming up to the Kemper open this year? It starts February 29th this year.

lol

Annie is now officially going to school, so my chances of hitting the KO are doubtfull. But I am still tryin!!!

:DThere was a little dust on this thread;)

Mace, sounds sweet. Got a nice lope to it:cheers:

Now you can come build one for me..

Damn the little things take a while to get done....

I managed to get all of the heater hoses routed, the on board shower in (can't be dirty on the trail right??), the radiator finalized (new and 2 core instead of single core), the radiator hoses on, a proper length serp belt, the mechanical fan on, built a distribution block for the oil pres senders (I have three), the charcoal canister in but not hooked up, the PS hoses made and hooked up, the aircleaner supported and was in the process of hooikng the rear DS up to go take it for a drive and realized that I had put the front third in the rear axle (the patterns are different)...

Unbelieveable..

So, my goal of driving it today was not gonna happen.. Damnit..

I also noticed that the check engine light was on. So I ran the codes, Not sufficient PSI on the EVAp system (not an issue, I have it plugged in but none of the vac lines hooked up as of yet..) and the EGR valve was not getting power (popped the hood and noticed that it was not hooked up). Gotta love plug and play motors...

I wanna drive this cruiser so bad I can taste it...

pics..

The motor is looking good now :D

I had to make a support for the MAF sensor.. Made a great place for the heat exchanger (also to stabilize the fuel lines and smogpump valve).

power steering routing.. Saginaw pump and the FJ60 box.. And yes, I screwed up the lines the first time.

Had fun with this. I needed the stock ford oil press sender to make the motor work. I wanted the stock gauge to oil press gauge to work and I got an aftermarket gauge as well.. So I had to make a manifold for all of the senders... $2.00 worth of AL block a drill press and away we went. BTW, for the engineers, the 2F oil press sender is metric thread, everything else is npt ;)

I also found out why the heater and AC controls were not working.. The main power lead from the battery was fubared.. Shortened them and removed all of the silly connectors that they have...
