Summit Racing. 7.00-15 Firestone military tires. They take tubes. The dog actually fears nothing. Caught her in a rare pensive moment (or hiding and getting ready to lunge?).

I gave those some serious thought, Keith. I too like the look a lot. I hope I don't regret not getting those.

When I get her distance drivable I'll bring her down and we'll each trade wheels for a day, and pictures, just to see how the others' look.

Bib lights were clear this year, and for a couple more. Finding clear lenses is harder than the amber that followed. ~55 bucks.

Methylene Chloride can fill cracks and weld plexiglass so I tried some experimentally on my worse bib lens. Some variation of this technique might be used by @Birdhead 's friend in steering emblem repair. All I can say is his friends results are great. My experiment, a failure. Cracks were filled but the solvent clouded the lens and I had to work an hour to burnish or scrape off what I could. Here is before:

Well, I'm sorry that didn't go as well as you hoped, Keith, but thank you very much for attempting it. My clear lenses were MIA, and the housings themselves were pretty rusty. I bought new lights with the later amber lenses, not sure I'm going to be fussy enough to get the clear lenses for them. Amber may have to be good enough.

I believe Kurt @cruiseroutfitters sells the new housings with clear lenses. Toyota Heritage in AU sells just the clear lenses. Mike

Kurt also sells the clear lenses separately. If I decide to spend the money on some, that's where I'll get them.

Some temptation :D

50 days waiting for Fastenal to find my last 2 rivited rims. They lost 'em. Neither the sending nor receiving office seemed concerned, but the corporate office got them found, and now they say just 3 more days..
Here they are, beauts from @matzell
Thanks Rob, they are _almost_ here!
Gonna powder coat these puppies..

Some Craig's List goodies. @oregon fj spotted the CB40M ad, closed the deal, held it for me until I could retrieve it.
The winch I just picked up today. I'd only dreamed of finding one. Now to figure out and locate what's missing.

Am pretty stoked about the winch. Just hope I never test it like the Anti-Christ's in the film "The Gods Must Be Crazy":

It started harmlessly enough. An simple canvas roll and some contemporary tools. Then I got a real large canvas roll.
I started filling it, period correct as things came available. New if not. Had a new 250 mm adjustable wrench and was tempted to replace it with an old OEM one with the TEQ circle, at _way_ too much money (a dollar per mm). My new Toyota one says"Korea" on it. Then I pondered my dad serving in Korea. During, and after the war. I'll think of him ever time I see it, the period correct won't do that. Giving up on a grease gun I focused on an alternative, a vintage Draper made in India, model A18. See it in the pic. Might upgrade to OEM, but I'm kinda liking the Draper model. I got lots of Queen Elizabeth stamps on the package shipped from England. The seller was helpful in measuring it, and we swapped dog rescue stories. Every tool has a story. My wrenches aren't fully matching, but I'm trying to get ones with the TEQ circle, either embossed, or raised. One came from Japan. One is coming from Australia. Of the six, I still need the two largest ones.

The large size wrenches seem to be the hardest to find.

Picked up a cool brochure. Model is at least a '63 given the stamped bezel. What I especially like are the tires, and smooth door mirror, and corrugated sides.

My girlfriend took time out from her ceramic art hobby to produce me a mold for an early tail light cone. People in her studio gave her sh*t for such a project not being truly artistic. You be the judge.

Don't know if it will work, but even if it doesn't, I'll have a one-of-a-kind mug.
