We all know the audio limitations of our 80s. JBL makes a "Nano" powered subwoofer that has a lot of sound. I'm thinking about using one of those under the driver seat instead of messing with an amp and sub for the rear (to replace what the factory installed). Has anyone installed one of these under the seat? Anywhere else? How did you secure it?

I installed a Kicker powered sub under the pass. seat after i removed the rear heater. Plenty of room and it sounds good.

Don't laugh, but I used industrial strength Velcro. Self adhesive hook side on the enclosure stuck to the carpet. It doesn't move at all and it's under the seat anyway.

You have pictures?

I was hoping someone found a way for that to work. Can you please tell me what "Industrial grade Velcro" is? Where did you get it? I used some of my wife's Velcro but it did not attach to the carpet at all.

I found it at Home Depot. It has really aggressive hooks that grab the carpet fibers good. I believe it was a 3M product.

I run a small powered J&L sub in the cargo area. I don't think it would fit under a seat, never tired as my HAM is already under my drivers seat. It fills the missing void of the factory system. Sits nicely between the fridge and outer wall.

That looks like it. I'm not at home so I can't swear to it, but that is the right idea. Very happy with the performance. Not the window rattling bass that some people want, but fills in the missing low end that door speakers can't reproduce.

Man I can't find any 3M hook and loop at Home Depot, and I can't find anything from Velcro brand that looks particularly tall.

thanks for the feedback. I don't need anything crazy or stupid $$$. The Boss unit mentioned previously is in my price range even though, I"m sure, the specs aren't all that nice but who cares!
