Hello All,

I am considering A used Cruiser I have wanted one for years and now may be the time. I may have a chance to pick up a 17 with 22k or an 18 with 15K miles on it. Is there any differences between these last few years that I should know about? Any info or resource would be great thx.

I think main difference is automatic rear hatch and new key Fob on the 18.

2018...everything else being equal. In addition to TORCHO post, KDSS bolt changes. Auto folding rearview mirrors. No rear entertainment system (Optional, instead of standard).

Welcome and I hope you get what you’ve been waiting for. Is the color important or either of them a good deal (price, CPO, etc.)? That would influence my decision if I were in your shoes. Earlier this year I went shopping and I was looking for the best price on an LX with low miles. Flew to Houston to pick it up.

The electric rear hatch not existing on my 17 was a major let down...how can they not include that?!

The 2018 has a chance at having the updated radiator that is less likely to fail. Early 2018 models still had the old radiator design (like mine), while late 2018 models have the new design.

I'm really happy my '17 does not have the electric rear hatch. I carry kayaks and canoes on my LC and can't open the hatch completely when doing so. I can still open it plenty far enough to get stuff out of the back. If the hatch were motorized, I could not do that.

What is your build date? I’m putting some notes together for an updated radiator thread.

Even if you can shut it off, more stuff to break.

Thanks. Not much comfort to you but a 5/2018 build got the new one. Still, you'll be good for a long time and know exactly what to look for.
