I can not make this weekend happen, but had been planning on a Rausch day on the 18th...
Sucks, I was looking forward to checking out Anthracite, and to the clean up...
 
I'm open to camp if we can get a small group together. Who else is in besides @Stevesnj and @caz ?

For the record...who else is attending the clean up????

I can't make it at least not in the morning. Yes this venue certainly has potential fr ure for full size rigs its still in its infancy. Weather supposed to be decent too. Gary

Looks like the HG, the coolant reservoir was percolating. Got to confirm by pulling the plugs, I just loaded the truck too. Bummer, anyone got a lead on the gasket kit? I want OEM but $300 seems a lot, so any help is appreciated.

If I recall, there was recently a change in the OEM kit, when you have to now buy the whole engine re-seal kit. I think Onur still had a bunch of the old head gasket kits still available though.

Since you need to pull the head, are you going to go through the head properly...it would be the time to do it.

Thanks...what the change in the kit? And yeh, gonna do as much as I can afford. It ran for just 5 min after it went so I hope the head didn't warp
 
I think the change was that now you need to buy the rest of the gaskets for the whole engine, whereas before you could buy just the head rebuild gaskets. I would give Onur a call and see what he has got and if you can swing it, go through the whole top end...then you'll be good for another 300k miles.

I will do that, I don't need so many gaskets, I just replaced a lot of those gaskets recently. Thanks!
