Cant figure out how to post the video, but I got the truck running on the 4th. Took it out for its first shakes down run today and it drove perfectly. Sitting a few leaks and random issues.

There is a "beer fee" associated with the transfer of that bumper.View attachment 1317026 Also got the PTO bumper frame from @1978HJ45 all mounted. Thanks Charles!
Well worth the fee. Let me know what you are drinking and we can settle up at the Meet and Greet this month! There is a "beer fee" associated with the transfer of that bumper.![]()
Bought it from eBay.can you get a picture of the down pipe between the block and turbo flange? Still need to make me one of those.
Hey!Don't know if you know or not but there is a kit to convert your full time 4wd to part time.
I had the vacuum actuated transfer before the swap. I just hooked up the wires from the 2H/4H motor of the 80 transfer to the 4H switch for the vacuum transfer. Unfortunately my project still isn't on the road.Hey!
Yes, I know about the part time kit. The shifter and hi-low shifter and location are from an 80 Series. After seeing the "Cup Holder?" thread with all the pics, I want to have a 70 series shifter setup with console in my truck. Aside from the aesthetics, I like the more simple 4WD/hi-low lever system of the 70 series. It is easier/cleaner to do the wiring from the 70 Series transfercase as it pretty much plugs right in. My truck originally has a non-vacuum 4WD transfer case. I think that shifter system will be a little harder to get installed than a vacuum system. I'll experiment with both but am leaning towards the vacuum 4WD split case.
