How's the light output from the reverse lights in the bumper? Looks like your original reverse lights are completely blocked by the swing-out spindles.
Uh well, I don’t know yet. Yes, the body reverse light are covered. In the next couple of days I’ll post a pic.

The water tank is built. Just need to figure out how to mount it under the truck. The tank holds approximately 22 gallons of water.

It's going to go just in front of the aux tank. I will get some photo's.

I went by Willamette Blvd Auto yesterday and Josh was busy servicing the front end and installing the front lockers.

Here are a couple of pics of the projected tank placement.

The first pic is looking towards the back of the truck. The tank will mount against the long bar, just in front of the rear aux fuel tank.
The second pic is looking more towards the front. The e-brake cable and hardware will need modification to accommodate the tank. There are bolts that are holding the flooring down that will need to be ground. The blue tube is the sink drain and the filler neck on the tank will likely enter the truck floor somewhere near the tube.

From the previous tank pic there is angle iron welded to the tank. This will allow the attachment of the tank to the frame in an as yet to be determined fashion.

Putting the boost, egr and rpm gauges on the pillar instead of the dash. Need to free up room for the hula dancer.

The Troopy has been in the very capable hands of Josh Harper at Willamette Blvd Auto for the last several days.

The front lockers were installed and while it was apart the knuckles were rebuilt. New seals, gaskets, bearings, etc.
Boost, EGT and Tach gauges were installed.
Trailer lights were added.
And yes, new wiper blades.

Attached are photos' of the gauges. I really like the Boost and EGT on the pillar. They are easy to see/read. There wasn't going to be room for the Tach on the pillar and the original thought was to mount it on the dash but the Hula Dancer needs a clean dance floor so after some thought and discussion it was mounted instead in the AC vent. Genius I think. It's quite readable and the duct work was routed to the other vents so there will be plenty of AC and heat.

Also included are photo's of the knuckle job. I don't think you'll see cleaner work right down to the painting of the bolts. A super job.

Finally, converting the 24v wiring on the truck to 12v on a trailer light was a pretty complicated task. All of the wiring/relays associated with that are in a box which is mounted in the electrical area behind the passenger seat.

I'm back on the books in June and will hopefully have the water tank installed at that time.

Pic of the box holding the relays as well as one of the actual trailer plug itself. It's magnetic so it attaches inside the bumper, out of sight when not in use.

A few random shots of the trip to Expo West with my daughter Rachael. There was a lot to see at Expo that's for sure. Car camping is a thing. I don't know how many millions of dollars of trucks were there but it was many millions that's for sure.

First Pic is the Troopy at the Goose Gear booth. It seemed to gather some interest.

Second and third pic is Meadow Hot Spring in Southern Utah.

It's quite the drive from Portland to Flagstaff.

Sent you a DM. Heading back up the coast tomorrow morning and will probably swing through Bend.

I finally got around to taking a pic of the lights in the bumper. It's thankfully still daylight in Portland at 8pm but the lights do seem to put out a good amount of light.

This jewel of a glove box holder was ordered from Cruiser Brothers. Lots of "crap" seems to end up in the glove box and it will be nice to pull this out and look for old ketchup packets and paper clips. Said crap wont fall out onto your passengers feet when the box door is opened.........

I ordered window coverings from Solar Screen in Australia. I noticed camping this winter that even with the diesel heater running that it felt cool on some nights. There's a LOT of glass in a Troopy and these covers should make it a bit more cozy. They should also help keep the heat to a minimum on the two weeks of summer we have in Portland.

There's a super good guy named Garrett who has Strawfoot Handmade
info@strawfoothandmade.com that is now starting to make shades and bug screens for Troopies. While I really like the quality of the Solar Screen product it would have been nice to support a "local" company but at the time I was looking Garrett wasn't making covers for Troopies.

I hope to have a harmonious relationship with my suction cups.......
