A few days ago I posted a thread about a wire ID leading into my driver side fender after some rodents ate my wires.

A few days later, the rodents returned and decided I shouldn’t have ABS anymore. They chewed a ton of wires, and I want to rebuild the end of this harness as it’s pretty straightforward. Does anyone know the type of pins used in these connectors? They lead into the ABS module.

The definitive answer is in the Wiring Harness Repair Manual, but my guess is they are Type 2.3II; the manual will list the terminals required by connector housing part number. It's in the Resources forum, 100 series section. There is a copy in the 80 section, but you shouldn't use that; the copy in the 100 section is period correct for the 100 series trucks. The part number of the housing is 90980-xxxxx. The last five digits are embossed on the rear of the housing.

You can get connector housings from the dealer, but not terminals nor seals. Ballenger Motorsports has everything you need.

If you are going to replace wires, DO NOT buy the "repair wire" listed in the manual.

Whatever wire you choose MUST be covered with oil–based insulation, not soy–based insulation. Animals can smell the insulation and they think it's food.

Your local yota dealer will have those pins. About $6 or $7 each if I recall and they come with plenty of wire to allow you to make a reliable connection.

Its your brakes so do a good job on the repair!

No they won't. There are no part numbers for those terminals. You have to buy them form an external supplier. Like Ballenger.

Inspected the existing connectors and found these two part numbers, ended up ordering complete pigtailed connectors rather than the OEM pins as it was cheaper:

90980-11151 / 90980-11664 for the large one
90980-10895 for the small one.

They do appear to be Type 2.3II female pins, in case anyone decides to re-crimp themselves on the future.

For rodent mitigation I’ll use a combination of treatments since they have also likely dined on my Volvo wires as well.

Thank you for the inputs!
