got more done today

I got the frame painted from the front spring hangers back. I did this so I could put the body back on the frame. I used master series chasis paint. It came out okay with a little grit in it. Must be from the sandblasting. I use surface prep but I guess I did not get all of it.

This is the paint

Shackle angle

it is looking better. It should be okay with a full auusie tank and a big rear bumper with spare. I am waiting for the pics of the new IPOR bumper

The garage is always heated at 50 then I turn it 60 when I am out there. We got a couple of inches. You should come down sometime. I live just outside of North Springfield.

Getting back to it!

I was away and work has been busy. I have put the engine/tranny in

Motor mounts

I used 80 series that I got from cruserparts.net . I used these because the 1Hz and the 3fe use similar mounts and the 80 series and the 55 series frames are the same width. Right now they are held in with clamps. the passenger side sticks up above the frame so I will box it from the frame to the mount.

Crossmember

I cut down the 70series crossmember that I got with the engine. I had to bend one side up so I slit it, bent it and rewelded it. I think I am going to use the 80 series croosmember mounts in the last picture. I am a little hesitant as they don't look "beefy" enough . If you look at it from a load analysis perspective they should be fine. What do you guys think?

Pto winch

Next up is to fit the pto setup to make sure that the pto shaft clears the motor mount. I have to figure out some frame extensions

Very, very nice keep'em coming. Where did and how much did the 1Hz set you back. I'm getting funny notions in my head

Great thread...looking forward to seeing more!
