i tried doing a pigs in print a long time ago and there were issues with the thread. while digging up some stuff for the hickey thread, i came across this article on the traveling turtle from a magazine in the 70s....

Pig in Baja

I bought an old Baja backroads tour guide from the 70's where the author did his travels in a pig. IIRC, it's the same guy who authored the article you posted. Pretty kool since I've been to some of those places and always thought pigs look great tooling around in Mexico.

The "aduana" or customs office hasn't changed a bit! That's the Costa Rican side of the Penas Blancas crossing. I know it well 'cause I spent two days there this fall getting the LV across.

If the LV wasn't in the way in this picture you'd be able to see the steel table. You can just make out the sloping roof.

I think the picture of leaving the gate is entering Nicaragua at the same crossing!

Pigs in the movies might fit in well here too. Anyone see (50 first dates) with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore?
