Happy Father's Day! We are taking back roads across Kansas now. We broke a passenger side inside door handle. I'd love to buy one if someone has an extra that's coming. Soooooooo excited!

VooDoo,

Did you break the actual handle or the plastic part that holds the handle. I have spare metal handles, but the plastic piece is scarce.

Good luck on your adventure and call BobM or me if needed.

Redline got enough done to make the trip in my 55. So, I will be there in the afternoon/ evening on wednesday. I need to stop at Classic Crusiers, im trying to find parts to a PTO shaft.

Packed and ready.....

look at those tiny tires!

37" Humvee tires. Government is dumping a lot of them, if you look around you can find them for $100 new. I think the trailer will look good with the same tires and wheels as the 55.

Is Nuclearlemon still thinking about writing an article for the magazine?
i am. if riderjgs wants to though, i'll do an article for another rag. i wont' make it until late weds night or very early thurs am depending on when i can bug out of work wednesday, and i didn't get the booster done on the 80, so it's unknown if im bringing the 80 or the truck, but i will be there, camera in hand

i'll try to remember to check my stash

Curious on how difficult it will be to see through that tiny hole in the cardboard windshield
that's to help keep the inside temps down. pigs don't like heat and if you don't keep them cool, they'll be rutting around in every mud hole

We plan on arriving mid day Wed. I'll also check my door handle stash. Also have a brand new shift knob for sale. Ordered a 55 knob forgetting I converted my top plate to a 60.

I think we can all thank @abqcruiser for this idea after he showed us the awesome scenery he encountered on a camping trip earlier this year when he took his Pig out on her maiden voyage: New Mexico Pig Build

In that thread we started the idea of a gathering of sorts. @abqcruiser was tromping around Rico, CO, in southwestern CO. Not exactly a convenient location, but I think that might be what made it so special looking.

We got as far as thinking about a date in mid-June for the gathering, and never really took it any further. Father's Day, 2017 is June 18th. We could either pick that weekend specifically b/c of Father's Day, or we could steer around that weekend in case there are any dads here who would have pre-existing obligations that weekend.

I don't bring much to the table other than a willingness to start a thread about the idea.

What say you all? Do you want to do this?

Campground info repeat for anyone who is not sure where we are going:

Cayton Campground

Google Maps

I found this as well:

This is great news! Looking forward to seeing it. What parts are you looking for, maybe I have something in the stash.

I just picked up a very nice PTO for the 40. I have 2 shafts 1 is missing the yoke on the gear box side the other won"t fit on the back of the winch. Shafts are different dia. so I need to find something that will make one of them work on a 40. The PTO is from a 65 LWB.

Arthog , i pulled a pto off a 64 fj40 years ago , i can throw the shaft in see if it works
