I would like to get a smaller steering wheel and would like to stay with a cruzr wheel. I remember seeing one here but can't find it.

Maybe it would be year specific for pigs on what years would cross-over, but I saw in some thread somewhere that a mini-truck wheel was used.

Yes that is nice. I think I saw a fj80 used before but still can't recall.

Wouldn't it be cool for security to be able to take the wheel off.

I was just thinking over the weekend about getting a quick disconnect steering wheel. It is quite an acrobatic maneuver to get in between the steering wheel and the roll cage. I sometimes end up putting a lot of weight on the door and i know that is a bad idea.

I did an FJ80 swap in my old 40, pretty easy swap and looked decent. You just have to move the blinker reset pins from your stock wheel, otherwise bolts right up:



I did the SOR wheelskin in my last 55:

Tucker, how did you like the leather cover on the 55 wheel. Did it hold up with use?

Added a pic. Swapped my stock wheel for a mini truck wheel after installing power steering. Paid $15 for the wheel at a pick and pull. As with the FJ60 wheel, only mod necessary was to set in the turn signal return pins.
Made the change to create some room behind the wheel and underneath between the F150 captains chairs. School bus wheel became unnecessary after adding mini-truck power steering. Love the look (OEM almost), feel and extra room. FJ60 console fits perfectly in between the seats. Before anyone asks, that's a modified t-case lever to the left of the shifter. It's for the Ranger overdrive. Couldn't bring myself to use the big chrome lever.

Wouldn't put a smaller wheel unless I had power steering. I like the school bus wheel.

It's pretty high quality (real hide), if you get it laced good and tight it will last a long time. I put another one in my current 40

Totally agree here, something about that big wheel that puts a s***-eating-grin on your face when everyone's waving at the piggie The 80 wheel was good for wheeling -
